FIBERLIGN Repair Rods are designed to repair the outer mechanical strand members of the OPGW cable. Repair Rods are not an optical repair product and are not designed as splices for all-metal overhead shield wire.

Provides varying levels of mechanical and electrical repair depending upon the specific construction, stranding, and material of the OPGW

Repairs mechanical damage of single-layer OPGW cables up to 50% of the rated breaking strength of the cable. Contact the OPGW manufacturer to verify the extent of damage that the specific design of OPGW can withstand without jeopardizing the performance of the fiber optic elements of the cable.
