PLP® is a leading international designer and manufacturer of products and systems employed in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground networks for energy and communications companies serving specialized markets including solar energy, tower/antenna and metal buildings.  We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual responsible for directing the domestic Purchasing, Material Planning and Traffic functions to ensure performance of providing materials, equipment and services to the Company’s domestic locations.   

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in business or a technical field along with a CPM and/or APICS certification, with a Masters degree preferred plus 5 years experience in managing exempt and non-exempt personnel and at least 10 years of industrial experience in Purchasing or Materials Management.  In addition, the successful candidates must be knowledgeable in and have experience with global sourcing including exchange rates, international freight terms and import documentation, experience with integrated planning systems and PC applications, excellent interpersonal skills to deal with individuals at all levels of management within and outside the organization, excellent negotiation skills to obtain best value for materials, services and goods, and good mathematical and analytical skills to compute and evaluate competing proposals for comparative analysis..
